$350k for lifetime 1st class travel for you and a companion

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/may…icket-20120506

Anyone hear about the "The AAirpass system". It is a program that American Airlines ran back when interest rates where high to raise cash. They allowed people to purchase lifetime travel tickets for two people for about $350k. What they didn’t count on was these people travelling upwards of 18 times a month to all types of exotic locations. The airline is now trying to find ways to rovoke these passes as they are losing million on these travellers.

I feel so damn depressed. I would purchase these passes in a second if I could today (assuming that I can get a loan for some of the 350k). One guy basically travelled to like 7 countries in a month just because he could, and another guy travels whenever he’s bored. It is like having your own private jet FLEET! All of them at your disposal.

Are there any dumb airlines still offering lifetime passes? Anyone have one of these lifetime passes or know of someone who does?

Should Canada Change The Rules For Citizenship To New Borns From Immigrants?

We always hear how Canada gets alot of immigrants from many countries who simply come here to have their child be born in Canada and then go back to their country and wait until they retire so that they can use their Canadian child as a return ticket. Should Canada change the rules for new immigrants and say both of your parents must be Canadian citizens before your child can gain citizenship? Kind of like the Emirates where as a Emirate citizen you get many benefits such as free schooling and a bank deposit for a new born but only who’s parents are both Emirates. Our benefits are free health care and world class country.

RFD’ers: Are you for or against your tax-dollars being used to police the world?

It seems there are quite a few neo-cons on this website that support the warmongering of our government and would love to have us go around the world, following the U.S and ousting dictators who aren’t security threats to our country or Canadians abroad, all while the Canadian taxpayer foots the bill. Harper tried to raise the "issue" of Syria with China on his trip according to this article and it is quite evident had it not been for China and Russia, he would jump at the chance of attacking a sovereign nation.

So, RFD’ers, are you for or against your tax-dollars being used to police the world? Do you believe we should only mobilize against countries that are clear threats to our national security or go around attacking every country that isn’t as democratic as we are?

Are Americans more religious than Canadians, and if so, why?

Our countries seem so similar, but it always seems to me that Americans are more "God-fearing" than Canadians.. We see it in their media, sports figures, politicians platforms and PR…do you agree? Why/why not?
what factors contribute to this?
Note, this is not a religious discussion debate….this is about one of the sociological differences between our usually similar countries.
