For weeks now, I have been extrolling the virtues of the Goose. Yesterday, my moment finally arrived. For $370, I am now the proud owner of a gently used, but in pristine condition, CG Ontario Parka, black, confirmed legit by the experts here on RFD.

I wore it out last night, and necks were snapping left and right. I always made sure that no matter which direction I was going, I walked on the side of the road where the CG logo would be exposed to the road, so I could witness the neck snappage 1st hand.

But this is the weird thing. I went out to a poker game last night with a group of 30-something dudes with mortgages, kids, the whole deal, and nobody there knew what a Canada Goose was. There was chips, some homemade chili, talk about wives and new movies, but nothing about CG. I explained to them how hot this brand was, and they smiled and nodded at me, but this was not the shock and awe I had expected to be greeted with.

So to everyone who thinks CG is played out, and everyone has one, I invite you to take a minor demographic change, and you will see that CG still has not penetrated many markets.
